Patching Administrator:

Job Description

The role of Patching Administrator focuses specifically on managing and applying security and maintenance patches to the operating systems and applications within the IT infrastructure. This role is more focused on ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and protected from known vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities of a Patching Administrator:

• Patch Application: Perform regular updates and patches on Windows and Linux systems, as well as critical applications, to maintain security.
• Patch Automation: Use automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, AWS, or Azure to efficiently apply patches across multiple servers or systems.
• Monitoring: Ensure that updates are applied correctly and monitor for any failures or errors during the patching process.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of patches applied and systems updated

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (i.e. Information Systems, Computer Science) or comparable experience.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and analytical skills
• English level B2 or above
